Guardian of the light

Lesedi was born of light, wonder and creativity. Destined to swim through the cosmos painting the stars and other heavenly bodies. Ever the nomad, she never stayed in one place for too long. Always more beauty to be discovered or created and all that. Through her many travels, she happened upon the forest of the night. At the center, was a little girl weeping as she was surrounded by shadows. Lesedi’s light scared them off and she comforted the little girl. She then used her light to mark a path for the girl to go home. As soon as she left the forest, to Lesedi’s surprise, the light marked by the path faded away. It was the forest of the night after all. Realizing that more children are sure to follow the girl’s lead, she sacrificed her free spirit, to become the ‘Guardian of the light.’
